Integers

Put the negative numbers in

put the positive numbers in
put the zero in and write from low to high
integers are whole numbers and their opposites
...-1,0,1,2,3,....

Absolute Value Song- by Cindy J. Boyd

Absolute Value this I know is the distance from zero.
Positive number everytime, know the answer with this rhyme...
yes, a positive number, yes, a positive number, yes, a positive number,
the distance from zero!

Coordinate Grid

http://youtu.be/-AuiafcHT-8
the Coordinate Grid is made from two number lines
the x goes across and the y goes high
to plot a point the origin's where you begin
first left or right then up or down

the axes divide the plane in four quadrants
draw a C in the center to remember which is which
then follow the letter C and number 1,2,3, IV
and you'll find you've done perfectly

The intercepts are points on number lines
the x and y axis they are divine
these points are not in quadrants so they're special don't you see
just write x or y intercept and you'll do famously!

Run Run Run

You've got to run run run run before you can fly (3x)
That's why the x comes before y.

Transformations

Transformations create images
you need to label prime
it's pre-image to image
it works great every time

Reflection is a flip
Your shape will take a trip
Highlight the line and take your time to count away from it

Statistics song (anonymous)

Hey diddle diddle, the median's in the middle
Add and divide for the mean
The mode is the one that occurs the most
and the range is the difference between.

Properties

There are 4 properties you need to know
commutative has the numbers changing yo
associative the numbers stay never to ever stray it's the parentheses that go go go go go
distributive's another one you can do
draw a rainbow to each term until you're through
the last one is identity
it keeps the numbers the same you see
by adding zero or multiplying by one!

http://youtu.be/Cvnu_IHg2XA
Fraction to decimal it's true
this here is what you do
all fractions mean divide
write the denominator outside
add a decimal point and zeros till you're through
da,da,da,da,da,da,da

Combining Like Terms
When you look at an expression and want to simplify it,
remember this rule and you'll do well each time
same variable, same power
same variable, same power
same variable, same power
combining like terms
Do I need a 1 in front of letters that have none?
Are there parentheses that need undoing?
Same variable, same power
same variable, same power
same variable same power combining like terms

Factorial

Factorial, do do do

factorial do do do
how in the world do you do a factorial do do do
start with the number and write the numbers down to one
start with the number and write the numbers down to one
mul-ti-ply to get your answer do do do

4! do do do
4! do do do
how in the world do you do 4! do do do
Start with the 4 and write the numbers down 4 3 2 1
start with the 4 and write the numbers down 4 3 2 1
Mul-ti-ply to get your answer do do do

I'm an Equation

I'm an equation balanced as can be
solving for the variable is ea-sy
what you do to the left you must do to the right
or I'll tip over out of signt

Follow the order of operations in reverse
do the numbers first
then move the variable to the opposite side and finally simplify
oh.. I'm an equation...

Decimal to Fraction http://youtu.be/ubO_pT6QynQ
Here we are in math class
lookin at a decimal
tryin to change it to a fraction today
it's up to you
to know what to do
follow these steps and you'll find you're through
say it write it simplify
say it write it simplify

Scientific Notation

Scientific notation is an easy way to write really large and small numbers without zeros getting in the way
First find the original decimal point then add another one so that a single number 1 to 9 is in front
Write significant digits times 10 to the power is the number of numbers between the decimal points
whole numbers have positive exponents decimal numbers negative and you are done.
To change sci.not. to standard form, put your pencil on the decimal point
loop right if the exponent is positive to the left if negative
Fill in the loops with zeros, fill in the loops with zeros rewrite your number with one decimal point (2x)

Transformations (to the tune of the farmer in the dell)
Transformations create images you need to label prime
it's pre-image to image it works great every time
Translation is a slide
move x and then move y
first left or right then up or down use pre-image as a guide
reflection is a flip
your shape will take a trip
first graph the line then take your time to count away from it
rotation is a turn, in 90 degree intervals you'll learn
turn your paper, record the points
now turn back and graph them now
Transformations create images you need to label prime it's pre-image to image it works great every time.
